Would like suggestions for puppy name

I went to the shelter to pick up our new family member today, Harley, a beautiful border collie mix. I saw him Friday and returned withe whole family Saturday to get some interaction. He seemed perfect withe kids. I told them I would be back Monday for him, but after shopping for his leash , collar, food, etc.and telling the kids their dog was coming home today I walk into the shelter to find out he was adopted already.

Crestfallen but determined now more than ever, I searched all the shelters and rescues to no avail. Perusing through the clasifieds produced no results either. I had resolved to put this mission on the back burner when, just one last attempt, there was a brand new post on one of the sights I had been searching all day for border clie pups an hour away.

I really wanted to adopt, but i'm not letting the opportunity pass. I have arrangements for the am and need to settle on a name. I'm thinking something along the linw of Chrono, which settles nicely into two interests as I would like to get involved with agility training eventually. The wifw opts for Chico, and the two year old came uo with Pete. Any ideas?

BTW, I had posted a thread previously regarding a cat that we brought in from the cold and considering the response from the community I think its appropriate to give an update. Our feline driend had dissappeared for quite some time, but returned another cold evening. He supped and warmed himself, and left again. I think we've seen him occasionly since, but my little ones were probably alittle to grabby for him. He hasn't visited since, but at leadt he seems to be ok.

Well i'm being outvoted 3-1 with Chico, so suggestions will be welced indeed!

I picked up my dog almost 10 years ago from the SPCA, she's a border collie-shep-huskie mix, great dog.

For names I like,

1. Shep

2. Louie

3. Rusty ( if it's a golden retriever )

I like Pete. Whenever I watch the Westminster with the wife we always love the people names these dogs are given now. They are awesome.

Bill, James, doug, they are all cool.

Ive always wanted to call a dog "Goat" for some reason.......
