It's 30 years old quartz - I expect it got some hack job to refinish it before sale.

If it was a good price I could see buying it and replacing the dial. $1200 though would be high for a pristine example. Put this at $500 and it might be worth it.

Helldiver have you emailed any of the TD's and asked them? They can get ahold of a lot more watches than you see listed on their websites.
