Bought I RM Bubba Watson BBR RMUL2 from Trusty last year. The watch movement was dead. Worst of all when I reached out to Andrew, I was requested to smack the watch a few times to get it going.

Needless to say I returned the watch with my own money. When the watch reached China I was informed by the courier company that the delivery address and contact details provided by Trusty was invalid. I contacted Andrew who speculated that the watch is held up by customs and I must resend the watch via registered mail if it is returned. The courier, however informed me they just need an alternative address as the watch can still be delivered. If I want it returned it will costs the same as it was to send it yo China. If I don't do anything the watch will be destroyed.

Trusty refuses to provide an alternative address or any solution. I feel they provided me with the defective product and should at least try to meey my halfway . This is so frustrating and is turning out to be an expensive experience.

Hello and happy Sunday. I'm new to this forum but not too young in terms of life experience to understand that the online purchase of any counterfeit product follows rules that are completely different from those of legitimate trade. What I mean by this, when each of us decides to buy a counterfeit product, we must take into account countless variables. Let me give you an example: recently I happened to buy a counterfeit watch brand x on an online Chinese site y. Well, once the clock arrived at my home (this is already a huge success, because as you well know the good has to overcome countless pitfalls during its journey), I found that it didn't work. Obviously the first thing that came to my mind was to react as you did dear Clydesmeyer, but immediately after a moment, I thought and said to myself: now I will send the watch to the address indicated and then what? Maybe it will be blocked at customs, or better still I will suffer theft by a courier etc etc...... So, what did I do: I took the watch and took it to be repaired by a trusted watchmaker who uses to mind his own business, because he is a professional in the first place. So, again, you need to have patience and money when you decide to make a purchase of this type, because you never know what might happen during the whole situation! By the way, obviously the Chinese seller was advised by me of the decision I made and agreed to reimburse me through a subsequent purchase by applying the discount equal to the amount I spent for the repair. Think people think!

Problem is I don't have a watchmaker near who can repair the watch.

I bought the previous watches in the past and never had any problems with the items self nor delivery. And like I said, the couriers never said they had problems with customs, they just need an alternative address which Trusty won't supply.

In spite of the conflicting advice you may find on the matter (e.g. people will call you an idiot for sending it back, but people will also tell you to shut up and be grateful if a TD tells you to send the watch back in order to receive a refund or a replacement), you really shouldn't have sent it back.

Seriously, you shouldn't even buy a rep if you don't have a watchmaker. If you did, you forward the watch to your watchmaker, paid him say $ 20/50/100, of which probably Trusty would have offered you some reimbursement or discount for your next purchase.

Really, how hard can it be?

Not all of us are lucky enough to have a watchmaker nearby.

I never had a problem with watches in the past and never had the need for a watchmaker.
