Hi to everyone,
it's been days (Monday 8 July) since I've wrote to nick's for VSF 116610 full service and never heard from him. Received from him the order number and the package was delivered on Thursday 9 July to him, I ask to him only a confirmation of receipt but never heard and not response.

i dont'care if the watch is gone but is an uncomfortable situation.

Not a call or mail from him, nothing.

Tracking says was correctly delivered but who knows, we knows GLS courier. I can't understand he not responding, somebody tell me.

Be patient, he will come back to you when your watch is due. This will take some time.

He's a busy man and this is his normal behaviour.

Thanks Mkempes, :) to be clear; Waiting for me is not a problem I know the game. I need only a "yes, I've your package" or "no, your deliver is gone"..

just that

It's only been 4 days. It's a little bit early to be pushing the panic button considering he's a trusted watchsmith here. I am not familiar with his process but some watchsmith do not have packages shipped to their residence or primary place of business so there might be a delay between when it shows delivered and when they actually physically have it in hand.

Dudes no panic button, maybe u've misunderstood what I've asked for.

As I said. NO problem for working days, if you need two months it's ok for me. I needed to know the shipping was in your hands. Only that.

many thanks :)

FWIW, I've resorted to asking for adult signature upon delivery when I know the watch smith has a busy schedule.

Dude, you literally got over a month worth in working days as a ETA. Please understand how busy we are.
This hobby needs patience.

Dude you are running a business. You can't update your client that their package is in your hands? They are paying you. This is standard business practice. He is a paying client, you are not doing him any favors.

Get off your high horse. It is time we stop putting these watchmakers on a pedestal. Update your clients, it takes 2 minutes.

You do realize that they get many packages a day and that it’s common practice not to open a package until they are ready to work on the watch inside.

That being said, I agree that a brief answer to a customer’s query letting them know about the situation and that they’d get an update in due time is good business practice.

It’s fine if you or anyone else don’t like how we run our business.
We don’t get paid until the work is done. You have no idea how many mails and messages we have to go through, sometimes multiple per day from the same person just to get an update. Wish it was “2 minutes” only.
We got a page full of informations for the customers, it includes how we handle the business.

I only can say - everytime I had watches at NikZ - always perfect.
I can fully understand him - some guys want daily updates... thats not the game.

He starts his work on a watch and than finalize this works = than he gets in touch with you and inform you with all details.

He also clearly communicates before doing business with him, he will not give any updates or further infos until he starts the agreed works on your watch. So I cannot understand the panic. When I send a watch to him, I have mostly another watch in my box I can wear meanwhile....

Come on, we are not talking about a critical donor organ we have to be updated :)
This hobby needs also patience.

I only can recommend @Nikz19 work!

I want to give my support to @Nikz19 from my experience I can say that it is worth waiting a bit and understanding all the work that goes into it. Sometimes it's very fast, you receive your watch in record time, sometimes it takes a little longer... the important thing is to have confidence and not rush, if you delay in replying, be patient a little longer. imagine all the messages he receives..he offers a great service for something hoi likes.

Hi guys, I hope Nik is doing well, he contacted me on 24. July by WhatsApp and said „I have your watch on the desk…..“ since this message I heard nothing from him. I know he is an busy man and I don't want to steal his time, but does anybody heard from him?

Did you read all the posts above? He probably has it on his desk with 10 other watches... As long as he is not exceeding the deadline you shouldn't worry... I have never worked with him but that's just not how it goes. You also don't call the mechanic daily when your car is for repair or service, do you? Yes, there are watch makers that give you update on almost every step but since he is a trusted Modder on this forum, I assume he has shit loads of work to do...

I received a confirmation email on 26 June. The mail confirm a timeframe about 10 working days. I waited more than 2 months for an answer. I think I am not impatient.

Have you tried reaching directly out to him before posting here? I got the impression from his response up above that he's pretty busy and probably backed up

Please don't forget that August is, in Italy like in many other countries, holiday season. Not much moves and if you need spares or services you'll have to wait for people to return from holidays.
