Hi,

I received my noob PAM390 and it has a wobbly crown. It pulls out fine for adjusting time, feels wobbly but does not fall off. It Feels wobbly even when pushed back in place during winding.
Is it a serious problem which will result in failure? What could be the cause of this?
What should I do besides returning it?
Any help is very much appreciated.
Thanks.

My guess is that the screw tightening the stem is loose. U can try tighten it after opening the caseback

I have tried tightening the screw which holds the crown in place. It is already quite tight and I dare not tighten it further because I screwed up before while dissecting and putting back a PAM127E by over-tightening that screw and it snapped. Any other ideas?

I have the same issue, on a 390 also. Maybe its a bad batch of crowns? When I use the crown lever to push the crown in you can see it tweak sideways. Something to do with the stem connection to the crown

It could also me that the crown is loose on the stem from my experience. A sign that the crown may eventually come off the stem.

Yes I checked the tightness of the pin inside which was tight
