I'm assuming all gens, so that's the assumption we'll go with for the discussion.

What's amazing to me is the placement of the lug holes on some of these cases. If we had reps that looked like that we'd be complaining up one side and down the other. The one on the top looks like the lug hole on the left side actually laps over the edge of the lug (might just be the angle, but it's damned close).

I think what this illustrates is that there is SO much inconsistency in what Panerai has put out over the years it would be damned near impossible for anybody to call any case into question based on lug shape, lug hole placement, etc.

Just my $.02.

As an engineer there is no such thing as perfection or 100% repeatability that why we have tolerances every thing is compromise :D

Oh so true! :roll:

I reckon the best we can usually hope is to find the case/lug shape that is typical of a generation of watches, A-D etc.
