Will the PAM need initial servicing?

I was wondering about this question, and I thought that only the A7750 will need it.
How are the experiences of current PAM owners? Can it last a good time down the road without any additional servicing?

Why should we need to service..>>>

A brand new mechanical device..??...Even an A7750 ought to work correctly when it's new!!!
Anything less is just plain unacceptable IMNSFHO!!......Just saying...

I dont mean as in servicing a damage watch, but something on the line of oiling and cleaning up. Therefore ensuring some good working years :)

Yes... always check your watches as soon as they arrive..
See if they are well oiled and the caseback's O'ring greased... It will last longer if you take care of them...

To have it checked to what extent?
Just oiling and greasing the O'rings will do?

There's no point spending $100+ on servicing an A7750 rep straight out of the box. As long as it is keeping good time then you should be alright probably for the life of the watch. Greasing the o-rings in the caseback and crown will help increase water resistance, but if you never plan on swimming with it then even this isn't hugely necessary if you aren't confident enough to remove parts.

Just make sure the crown guard is screwed in tightly.

I would defenitly not service an A6497, not serviced they'll last years (except for the bad serie that came in the H factory V1 model), and if it breaks buy a new one for less than 50$ shipped. Replacing can be done in minutes, plenty tutos on here and Servicing is big bucks.

My rule of thumb is not to bother with any A6497 or A7750 or 2836ETA clones UNLESS there are complications made on the base movt. I long gave up on rep chronos as they mostly arse-pain than pleasure and now the max level of mods I'd take from the rep makers is the GMT complication which are usually quite well done, but even that they manage to royally f..k up every now and then so never hurtschecking as it many cases you (or your truested watchmaker) will have a bit of a shock when you look under the hood of some of these things..dirt, dry-as-desert hell movt, parts from used movt etc are just a few examples that I've seen first-hand.

Thanks for all the input guys! Very helpful.
After considering, i decided to just wear it, till something starts to go wrong, then get it serviced. =)

As for what acharria suggest, i decided to learn to do that myself, having a smith to do that is expensive..

You can get a high beat asian 6497 for less than the cost of servicing.
