Previously I bought a rep used from a member on here, ordered an Omega Big blue from Eric@geektime, and a Seamaster 300 nekton from Li@Jtime. I contacted Hont via WhatsApp he said he had several of the model that I asked for, asked for payment via wise and said he would send QC photos. All pretty typical of the other guys I used.

QC photos come and the finish was rough on one side of the watch, so I highlighted that and RL the watch, asked him for another or if he had access to another factory version. Not sure if it’s the language barrier but what I gathered was if you don’t like this one you’re not going to like any of them, and then he asked if I wanted a refund. I agreed. Then he said he wanted to know how to get my money back to me.

Not really sure why wise can’t just be reversed, but I gave him my PayPal information. He said his “friend” would be sending the money.

Receive the money and all said and done the “refund” is almost 20 dollars short of where we started from.

Watch was 208 on sale. Wise transfer for 1444.44 CNY after fees was 215.xx

Paypal goods and services transfer back was 208 and after fees was 198.xx

I don’t think that TDs process their own payments and instead use third party agencies, so Hont just pass on the amount to be refunded to them. Clearly the agent hasn’t allowed for the processing charges from PP. As for the initial charges by Wise that is not money that Hont’s agent (or Hont) would have received, so you may find that that is gone. Have you mailed Hont about the refund discrepancy? I’m sure that it can be resolved with some tactful communication.

I have. He basically told me to post up my feedback.

Nothing wrong here, looks like transaction and convesion fees so I think you have to live with it.
oh I’m living and learning. Just sharing my experience because ultimately i feel it isn’t right. Anyone else can make their own assumptions but I paid for goods I didn’t receive . A refund is not really a refund unless you receive what you paid. I’ll attach the picture of why I RL’d the watch. I would understand the fee transaction if I backed out due to my own reasonings, but when it’s not up to standard…

Don’t get me wrong I would RL this too and I can understand the reason for the refund.
But I can also understand Hont doesn’t want to cover the fees.
Seems like only Paypal and Wise made profit in this case.

Just quick question? Why don’t Hont use PayPal as friend and family to refund for save PayPal fee?
They don’t have PPFF in all countries so his agent may not have had this option

A $17 loss when getting a refund from an overseas criminal enterprise aint so bad. The real reason not to deal with him are the countless examples of him being difficult when there are QC issues. But some people prefer that risk to paying the higher fees of other TDs.
