So all I did is ask how much, told them I have a bbb that has a scratched insert and wanted a replacement. She said she didn't know, so she called Tudor then called me back and said $160. She said that they could order and I can pick it up but if I wanted it installed the watch would have to be shipped out. I didn't order because I got carried away with a traveling job but I will gladly share the info of the dealer I called if anyone wants to try. So my thought was to take the insert out of my watch and take it with me and compare to the new one, or remove the entire bezel assembly and take that. I highly doubt that if I took the entire watch and popped the bezel in right and the store they would even notice. Like she said to me on the phone, it is a new watch for them, she hasn't seen or sold many, and with the quality of the rep I would feel safe taking it in.
I am in Los Angeles this week, so I will call a Tudor store around here and ask the same question and see what the response is.
I would assume that an aluminum insert that costs 160 bucks is a different story than a ceramic bezel with platinum coating on a 9,000 base price watch
