hi folks,
after I read a lot of scary posts about things happening in the sales corner the past weeks, I´d like to tell a short story why this place is the place to be, even if there are a few dickheads around...
I surfed through one and another thread a few weeks ago and thought I have everything I need for the moment and just wanted to get to know what´s going on in the corner here, which I love most...and then it happened again...I clicked in a thread and saw some beautiful pictures of a nice PAM and - guess what - fell in love with it...
It was not a PAM which pops up so often on the marketplace and I was lucky enough that DSN offers triangle shipping since a few months so I contacted him and ordered a watch...nothing special so far
after he sent me QPs, which looked good to me, I gave him green light to send the watch...the waiting began...and you all know how this feeling is...especially when you order from a TD for the first time. I have to say DSN did his job very well and after a few weeks I held the watch in my hands and was more than happy...it looked even nicer than on the pics...a stunner!
In my happiness I posted a pic of that watch in the thread I first saw and fell in love with it and my love for MY watch was a little less...I realized that the second hand had the wrong color .... damn !
The problem about that is for me a) that I got no spare parts and much worse b) I can´t do any work on a watch as I got absolutely NO skills in watchmaking....
well I posted my misery and a great member offered me his help...not just that he offered me to send me the right second hand, after I told him that this is nice but I can´t do the work he just offered me to send the watch and he will fix it...that alone is more than great...
after he received the watch he realized that the minute and hour hands are wrong, too...he wrote me that it´s no problem to change them as he´s got a matching set...I was speechless....
After a few days (and most of the days was shipping) I got the watch back today and am so happy that all is fine now. After I asked the member what I have to pay he told me that it is fine and he was happy to help me...speechless again...
These are the people which make the place THE place and I personally appreciate this and what a lot of you do here...help, share knowledge, inspire and invest a lot of time for a great passion.
