Why no love for the Pam 204?

I've been looking around, and it seems that there's very little talk about the fairly new 204. Is it because you guys hate it, or because it's so new that no one has it yet? I think it's a great-looking watch, but I really wish they'd come out with the 214 rep. I saw that watch at the AD yesterday, and it's beautiful.

photos of the rep and the gen Pam 204

The 204 is a limited edition model, I believe one that was only sold in Wempe in an edition of 125 or something. It's similar to the 2006 214, which I hope is available as a rep sometime in the not-too-distant future.

other pics

I think the first "gen" pic above may actually be a rep masquerading as a genuine on some site. Here are two more pics that are more likely photos of the actual watch. It's not an easy watch to find info on.

The 184 - which is a 42mm Radiomir GMT without the chrono, is similar and one of my favorites, but no where to be found. I have looked at the 204's but just can't seem to pull the trigger.

If someone had a good 184 - I would be all over that. Don't need an alarm like some of the other 42mm's - but love having the GMT.

eFence has a few but they are $5999-6999.

I have the Wempe Rep--got it from Andrew. He told me the rep was a project he and Joshua were doing exclusively. I really like mine quite a lot. If you buy one I don't think you will be disappointed. Since it is so rare, I doubt anyone will know its a rep!

I agree with Grinder, too busy and no date. I believe that is why I like the simple beauty of my 005.

No, the enlightened few who know how limited that watch is WILL know it's a rep. That's not many people, though.

42mm is too small a watch for me.....I like the look but in a Panerai it would seem tiny to me
