Trevor has the "full" engraved Swiss unitas movement. I am looking for the standard Pam movement that has real Swiss cotes de geneve too. Soo...bump!

Can anyone help us out?

I thought the the best you could find was Swinese, Swiss movement with Chinese engraved bridges. Possibly DSN?

I while back I ran over a thread with a movement from little hero. If I remember well it was quite nice.

Might be usefull to mention that at his point, either swiss or asian, there is no panerai replica movement with an accurate decoration. What I mean is that any rep pam movement can be spotted in the blink of an eye.

dsn look good, i looked at some of LH's they are awsome. and i sent him a pm pricing the movements.

do you think i should just instal the OF plain eta movements since no one will be looking at the movement?

If money is out of the equation, I think LH is the way to go, but I even if I'm not sure of the price, it's pretty expensive.
If your watch has a closed case back and you don't care about movement decoration accuracy, you can either get a swiss 6497-1 or an asian 6497-2 and get ir serviced.

Here is a true swiss 6497-1 I bought a few weeks ago, Côtes de Genève decorated:

No :) A friend bought a chinese unbranded pilot watch and asked me if I could swap the movement for a nice swiss one. Not as nice as, a Stowa, but not too bad :)

Once the new cannon pinion and hour wheel are here, I'll make a tutorial on how to install and latern it.

No no Smidsy... I think it says watchBREAKER...

lol.. j/k

Best way to learn IMO :)

I've noticed something about horlogy: it's never as simple as it seems.

For example, the first time I tried to swap a date overlay, I told myself that it shouldn't be that difficult.

Silly me....

I took my tube of HypoGS cement and just glued the overlay on the date disc. As you might know, Hypo GS make really thin "strand". I forgot to clean one of these really, really thin strand, and the date disc was just stucked...

After cleaning the mess, I tried to align the date with the date window. I told myslef all I had to do was align the numbers with the ones on the original date disc. Not at all! We're in the rep world, and having a correctly aligned date window would be too easy! So I spent about an hour trying to align the date, both horizontally and vertically...

The good news is that it was way more easier the 2nd time, and even easier the 3rd, ... :)

lol, I know exactly what you mean! :biglaugh:

The first time it took me about 20 minutes to get the case clamps and the case clamps screws back on. Now I don't think I need more than one or two minutes :)
