Im on the hunt for an openworked AP that’s so good even the original might get jealous. Any tips on which factory’s nailing the 1:1 game?

I don't think you'll find such a factory. No factory has the money to invest in machines & time to replicate the intricate details, quality and finishing AP has. So the answer to your question is, none. No factory has this.

From my modest opinion, I'd recommend to look into ZF and see how you like their reps of the model you are after.

One additional thing for your future purchases - there is a member here with the best signature. It goes like this:

so bear it in mind :)
Yes im sure it wont be 1:1 as far as the pieces go but the movement dial and everything else could be as close as a 1:1

Best one out of the box seems to be THB V2, but even that has some flaws if you're looking for it. Most notably for me is the case proportions that's more akin to 15400s. But with almost all reps, the biggest tell is the wearer. Of course you really won't be fooling anyone that has significant time with these watches or people in AP boutique though.

Absolutely this.

AP special pieces, like the Openworked or the Perpetual Ceramic (my Xmas gift, 25679ce) are so expensive and Rare in Gen, that anybody remotely knowledge in watches will be thinking :

1) it is a Rep

2) this guy invested in crypto several years ago and so can buy a 300k $ watch

😁

Where I need to be.

While in this section, you need to learn that there is no such thing as a 1:1 AP rep. Not even close. There are very good ones though. That I readily admit.
Of course I acknowledge that this is subjective and to a lot of non-watch people, a $100 rep can look like the gen. But my “1:1” definition applies to the way our AP community sees it, with knowledge of the tells and flaws.
Why don’t you settle for “real life good”. That is far more practical. There is no way which a $500 watch can look exactly like a $100k one especially for one as intricate as this one.
Simple logic will explain this more than any of us can.
