Angus has a matt 292 which looks closest to the gen ceramic finish. But the torpedo logo sucked arse. His other model of the 292 with the shiny PVD finish has the best looking dial ever with a spot-on accurate torpedo logo, but the case sucked arse. I don't give a flaying fish that the movement's an Asian 6497...I'll be working on this with Angus and IF he can perform a swap operation, throw in a saph double AR glass, superlume and cannonpin fix (a service which he provides), that'll be the icing on my cake for 2008. Fingers crossed.

Are you after something that looks like the satin finish ceramic on the 292 or a very matte like the DSN pvd finish?
I'm attempting to build something similar but not as an accurate rep of the 292.
Satin micro bead-blasted 183 case with a pvd Soprod 6497, but trying to decide between a DLC coating or a plasma sprayed true ceramic coating and whether to do a 'stealth' lume under the sandwich dial :wink:
