Who can take off my double AR coating?

So i just received my 111h from DSN.

The sapphire came with the double AR coating and i think it looks fairly ugly. Who on the boards is able to take of the AR coating? also, what is it used for?

another question is that the dial seems to give off a yellowish tint. i'd like to have them lumed the whitish color, like how vaccum has it to make it look more gen.

anyone care to point me in the right direction as to who could do the mods for me? What are the prices to do these mods?

thanks!

If DSN couldn't get this thing acceptable for you then no one is going to touch it. You can take the AR off with acetone. Good luck.

It's not like he couldn't do it.

I totally forget to tell him to take it off. Any other suggestions? is it okay to dip the watch in acetone? What is that process? Links?

I think you are supposed to use acetone only on the crystal ;D. Dont dip the whole watch :D :D

A crystal with "double AR" from Davidsen? Are you certain? I think you'll find that the AR coating is only on the inside...

hmm, i'm not quite sure about the double AR coating.

is there anybody that could take it apart and take off the AR coating on the inside then? is it an easy process to do on my own? mind you, i don't have the proper tools to take them off.

If you don't have the proper tools, get someone else to do it for you.

I've removed AR from rep crystals with a cape cod cloth in the past. Worked like a charm...

UM, NO... the crystal would need to be removed and then dipped. OR you could carefully use acetone on a q-tip or other swab to just remove the Ar from the outside without removing the crystal.

Please be careful be using cape cod cloth because it is partly not strong enough to remove the last and clear adhesive layer from the crystal.
Acetone do it or you strip it with fine diamond paste and a dremel.
Maybe you see on the picture what i mean.
