Which WM9's Rolex watch is the most accurate to GEN?

Just wondering, looking around right now and it seems like the Submariner is the most accurate, is that correct? I'm looking to buy a new rep watch but not sure which one to get, money isn't a issue but a genuine one is a issue lol.

Also I'm looking at BK's Rolex's too, is BK and WM9 the same person? I am looking especially at the DSSD, what are your thoughts on it? And what do you prefer? BK or WM9?

If you want a dssd don't get bk's...Imho..
The best rep from wm9 is the ym...But,he is disapeared..So, you can get only a used one in the sales area..Bk modes the watches, only a modder,wm9 used to product...He has a really great tw sub for now and ceramic dssd +sub..But i would go only for the tw sub...For the ceramics i will wait from the factories to produce a decent base watch...

That seem like a suspect site to me

That's very disappointing to hear =( How much does a used WM9 sub go for around here anyways? His website is apparently still alive... News

Is there a specific reason not to get BK's DSSD?

The SeaDweller pics on that "watchmaker" site are of a GEN - so I'd avoid at all costs...

Plus the front page of the site says "We would like all customers to know that we are not directly, or indirectly connected to George" so it ain't him or his stuff.

Sigh*, my hopes of getting a close to 1:1 rep is gone... Today is my first day posting since 2009, I remember back when the WM9 Submariner was highly praised. Looks like I'll have to save up money for a gen.

Bk and WM9 are not the same people. BK is a TD and was actually the exclusive source to the WM9 reps here on the Boards. While it seems WM9 (WatchMaker9..George) has basically disappeared, BK was not only the exclusive and sole source of the WM9's, he's a TOP notch watchmaker/modder and currently offers the BK TW Rollie reps. While there may or may not be other versions of the various models of Rollie reps that are/were better, BK currently offers the Best of the Best. As for the 16610 Submariner, BK's TW is the only Sub rep currently in production and available that has a gen constructed bezel assembly. MBk/MBW and WM9 16610's did also, but they're not currently being offered by any TD...except of course from Reg who's still known to source the MBW versions. I've owned BK's DSSD (and every model he's offered except for the YM and IMO he offers the best. Some may disagree but I'd say the BK DSSD is the best way to go on a DSSD. I cannot, however, acurrately substantiate that the BK DSSD "is" the best as I've never owned anything but the BK version. Good luck in your search...and enjoy.

I disagree...yours hopes for getting close to a 1:1 rep shouldn't be gone. It's only a matter of how acurrate is acurrate enough for you and of course, what you're willing to spend to achieve that acurracy.I'm partial to Rolex and I'd say stick with BK...now...and in the future. They're really working on getting the "ultimate" rep on the street...and while they seem to make improvements in one area and fall short in other areas ( of acurracy) it's only a matter of time before they get it right.
BTW...WM9's are "still" highly praised. You could save your money for a gen ( I was going to do the same) but the Franken WM9's and my current Franken BK TW has caused me to find it difficult to justify the 5k gen price over the 1100.00 Franken Rep. I no longer feel the "need" for a gen. Perhaps if you acquire a Franken you'll see things differently too. They're not 100% perfect but they are indeed a truly convincing Sub. Besides, what's fun about owning a gen ? It'll most likely need for nothing until it's time to have it serviced. With a Franken, you can start very good and make it as good as you care to afford to make it.

Another vote for BK. I just bought one of his TW Subs. I have owned 2 of the Gens like this... And.. well, I can't see how spending $6,000 or so will get me a nicer watch.

Did you request any gen parts, or additional mods, or just the basic BK/TW? I'm just wondering, if I don't go the franken route, whether the BK/TW is still worth the price?

Absolutely. The TW is a gem right "out of the box."

TW is great.Same level like wm9 sub IMO.It needs improvements of course, but thats a state of everyones mind and budget...
For the Bk dssd now..I think it doesn't justify its value..Of course BK has great QC...But wrong base watch cannot help him make something better..The dssd V7 is much better with better dial and a WM pearl it becomes great...Or you can use noob dssd BK uses and change the dial and insert to become golden..Thats my opinion..I used to have a modded ETZ DSSD..It was like three years old and much better from those..One step forward five backwards for the rep factories as always..

the BK TW sub with a few gen parts is very good in terms of accuracy to the gen:
http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/rolex-replicas/91518-franken-bk-tw-submariner-16610-review

You have a great watch there....
This is the best it can be...I wouldn't go for the gen dial since i think the wm9 is really accurate..Also no for gen bracelet since it is really expensive..The noob one with a good clasp makes a great combo...
So watchfaker's is a super franken way to go.....

p.s.
For low budget these two are great watches:

Yacht-Master 16622 Rolesium TW-Best Edition ETA2836

ROLEXP2020 - Explorer II SS White A-2836 [ROLEXP2020] - $248.00 : Trusty Time Online Store, Your Trusty Watch Shop

Have seen some reviews in the RG and i believe they look great for their money...I think with some cheap add-ons they will be awesome!!

BK has told me he will start selling his version of the new superlumed ExpII, with options to go franken since it takes gen parts!

This or his 16610 tw sub are probably his best offerings right now.

Last I heard he is running out of ym parts and the few remaining wm9 ym parts are for his return customers. But this news is a few months old so don't know what his stock looks like now.. Same goes for the tw/wm9 16610LV..
