I like the safari and silver themes for a white dial ROO. I think the dials are pretty similar in accuracy but the silver themes has a silver outline on the numerals as does the gen but the safari has a white outline and not silver. Does this bother anyone else or is it too small to notice? Are there any other dial accuracy differences between the two? Cheers, Neil!

The dial color is not exactly the same on the safari, numerals are not the same (bigger or smaller depending on the dial you get) and silver borders.

I wouldn´t worry to much about Safari having a silver outline around numbers or not, even hard o see what the dial have even on gen shots and same goes for in real life.
Have a look
All above are gens and depending on the angle it´s pretty hard to tell if it´s white/ silver or non existing rim if you ask me.

So anyone good enough to spot slight indifferences is seriously to close to your wrist and like me that have tried the gen safari many times can´t even remember from the top of my head what the outline looks like.
What I do know is that no one that bought the Safari rep has nothing but love to share with the rest of us!
Especially with the updated cream dial we got now it´s a damn fine watch, personally I would worry more about the 250-350usd you will have to pay for a new Hornback croco strap since the rep one looks and feel horrible...

Apbands will be your friend or if your don´t mind the wait HKtan might make you one, personally I´d say go with APbands awesome fit and finish.

Cheers guys, great responses. How is the cream of the rep compared to gen? From those pics the gen looks a bit creamier/yellower but on trusty's site his reps are almost pure yellow!
I'll check out the size of the numerals on both. If the silver themes has the right size, then this plus the wrong white outline and dial colour on the safari means the silver themes is actually quite a bit more accurate of the two.

you are correct, the gen is creamier, the dials compared to each other, the silver is more accurate
but you're right jiddy, everyone who has got the safari loves it, but it really needs a gen hornback!

Yupp, the rep hornback strap looks a little starved and not even close in quality.
