Which Panerai with DLC coating, 594 or 005N?

Hello,

I am researching which DLC-coated PAM to purchase, and I have narrowed the search to 2 models, but I cannot find more details about each and would appreciate some help . The 2 models I found are:

594Q (785A) Black Seal V6F:

and 005N from H factory (a bit more expensive than 594):

Does anyone know if there are significant differences between these 2 reps, quality-wise? Is AR the same on both models? I am not looking for the most accurate model, but the quality of the finish is on top of my list. Thanks for any tips

They are both fine quality-wise -- the main difference in "look" is that the 005 has green lume and the 594 is vintage lume. AR will probably be disappointing to you on both. The design cues are where subjectivity comes in and that is your call above all else. Otherwise, both are good models, but if I had my pick, it would be the 005.

Both the V6F 594Q and H-Fac 005N are great reps and probably the finish on both would more or less be the same. The 594Q though is not accurate in terms of case design as the movement is not a P.5000 clone but all other features are as good as any. The 005N is not normally DLCed as the gen is strainless steel but it is not uncommon to see Risti have their gen 005s coated with DLC/PVD. So ultimately it will be down to your personal taste. Either way, you'll be making a sound purchase.
