Anybody can work on ETA. Super clone movements are harder to work on. The parts also aren't available for many models.why do you want to upgrade to eta? I ask because many people say getting the asian movement serviced and regulated can be as reliable or more.
So basically when the movement craps out I’d need a new watchYou can look here to have an idea wich Panerai model had an ETA-derived movement.
But it's already ten years (from the 510) that Panerai introduced manifattura movements. so that nowadays there are not current models without it. Possibly a watchmaker can replace a P.9XXX with a 7750 but it could be hard work and not worth. These are reps you should not be concerned in longevity that much.
As you should, sir!Hi, @marcsp2675 , just for laughs … I LIVE for cars and, at second place, for watches … if i buy Ferrari I buy only vintage because there are cars, the actual models - in my ridiculous opinion - are only spaceships that not even fly . But if I, tomorrow in the morning, discover me crazy and I buy a new Ferrari and her engine broken himself, I will set fire and flames inside dealer’s showroom until he replaces it with a new one, in my presence, with an original Ferrari certificate WITH AN APOLOGIES ATTACHED in my name
