I texted my brother about how much I love my new PAM rep (Noob 111v3), and he texted back that he no longer uses his previous gen PAM (replaced it with a different model) and wants to give it to me.

I accepted his kind gift and will pick the watch up in a couple days. In the meanwhile, can anyone tell me which PAM model this is? He sent me the pic.

I thought it might be titanium but not sure. Could also be steel? Definitely the hour hand is under the minute hand. He wouldn't give me a one-handed watch :). In fact, it'll be the first watch I have without a seconds hand.

Not sure why it would be easier to ask here than to ask your brother what the watch is. Anyway, nice of him to give you the watch. Picture of the caseback would be nice though.

Ask your brother! That's blasphemy. Especially if he's older. I wouldn't give him the satisfaction of having me ask. LOL. Sorry I have a brother.

We're both very busy with our wives and kids this weekend, so we've been communicating by text instead of voice. I asked him which model this was, and he didn't reply. Knowing my brother, he probably liked how it looked at the AD and bought it without even knowing the model number.

I'll share some good pics (front and back) soon!

EDIT: Just got his response. As I had guessed, he doesn't know which one it is but will be bringing it over tomorrow morning :).

It is most likely a PAM 176
With a caseback pic we will get immediately all necessary data to assure model and series

He just texted me that he bought it used a few years back. Hope he didn't get swindled with a rep :). I''ll update this thread with detailed pics tomorrow so the kind experts here can tell me exactly what I've got.

Okay, to my noob eyes without a loupe, the watch my brother (? PAM 176) gave to me seems to have the exact same movement as my Noob 111v3. Did my brother give me a rep? If so, it would mean he got swindled when he bought it "pre-owned".

His gift is on the right in each of the pics below:

Here's a higher mag shot of the movement:

Wow, if that's a gen (and I'm sure my brother would have at least tried to verify the seller if he didn't buy certified from an AD), then I am incredibly impressed with my rep. I didn't pay the extra bucks for the rep version that had the Y-incabloc either, and the two movements just look the same to me (edit - I just looked up pics of what a Y incabloc looks like, and wow that is a tiny difference!) The color and finish of the dial, identical.

Overall the reflectiveness and clarity of the crystal, also identical. The only weird thing is that certain reflections on the 176 look white while others look purple or blue. All the reflections on the 111 rep look white. Basically I would say that the Noob 111 AR looks better!

The other difference I noticed is that closing the crown guard lever on the 176 moves the winding dial in towards the case, whereas that winding dial remains a bit more distant from the case on the 111 rep.

It seems to be a gen. Not even the Y incabloc, but aslo swan neck, the micrometric screw from the regulator, gears brushing, bridge, engraving... Everything seems gen, or relly well modded, But I would never see an as well modded rep ;)

Thank you! It's like two gifts in one - new gen watch and proof of how awesome my rep is :).

Am I correct that this is a PAM 176?

Many gen things to to be a rep

Movement is completely gen, Swan Neck spring gen, Incabloc gen, Lyre spring gen, micrometric screw gen, screw supporting the SN spring gen, Gears gen, CDG pattern on bridges gen, gen wheels and wheels scrtews. Perfect OP engraving....
Caseback is gen H with correct millesimation 800 watches for H series from 2005
Case and CG are gen, there is no reps wit these lug contours and less in Titanium. Perfect hands and CP

It is a gen PAM 176 year 2005 H series, but extremely BAD conserved

Wow, thanks ALE!!! Yes, my brother is a little hard on his stuff :).

I don't mind the cosmetic condition one bit. In fact, I love the cosmetic condition, because it removes any worry of scratching it. I'm gonna put it on a vintage military green canvas strap and use it heavily in the rotation :).
