I thought it might be a 112 but the graphics below the 12 look more like the logo than the word "LUMINOR". Any thoughts? Thanks!

What about the large script below the 12? It looks a little tall just to be the LUMINOR tag, doesn't it?

Ah, right you are. Thanks to both for your help!

(Now...how to find a well modded 111H?)

That last bit was rhetorical. :D

Go to the 'member sale' section, here or on the other forum, there's one poping every 12 hours or so, or buy one of Little Hero (starting price around 800$ but the closest thing to a gen), and you'll be one of the few owner of a Gen LH.

Yeah, sadly I missed a number of these over the past few months. By the time I see the post they've been snatched up! I won't go for something that doesn't at least have a really good CG and AR.

I did a bit of searching but I couldn't find how to contact LH about his line. Is there an easy way to do this?

Thanks!

Thanks, Mambo. That forum made for some very interesting reading.

On a related note, I didn't realize that there were rep roller pin CGs out there. It was mentioned in one of the LH threads (LH doesn't offer one) and it got me wondering if there was a good source for that part.

There is a source for that part, but it is not a very accurate piece. I would pass on it. Stick to the LH CG. Good luck finding a complete LH111, they are for sale some... but bought stupidly quick. You might be better building your own, but the LH dials are now going for $330, and to quote COLDI "phew" :iph:

Okey dokey. Do you think it's worth posting a WTB thread? Or is that just totally pointless?

You can post a want to buy LH dial, but ipreak and myself are both looking for one lol.

I would just build your own. But it all comes down to how much you want to spend

LH no longer makes the 800 version, talked to him for over a month trying to convince him

Thanks, this info is super helpful.

I give myself very low chances of sniping a dial with hawks like you two watching! :)

So if the $800 is dead then the $1050 is the only LH option? Painful.

I'll consider trying to build my own, but at my time and skill level I think it would be better to buy a built one or find a partner who will build one for a fee...

So much to learn...

the 1050 rep is out too, all he has is the 1300 one and for that price I'd rather save for a gen

Yeah...looks like you can find a nice gen for around $4K. A rep at 33% cost of a gen seems silly. If I'm going to spend that much I'd rather have something unique like a NW that has some artistry put into it (and reps something a lot more valuable and rare than a 111.)

I think my limit for a 111 is probably around $500-$600. If the LH is out, am I just looking for a nicely modded/lumed DSN?

Thanks again for all your input. I know this is probably rehashing what's been discussed before but "111" is below the search string limit...

So, when I see something like this:

http://www.rwgforum.com/topic/120132-fs-highly-modded-pam-111h/

What should I think? My first pass is that it's a nice 111 although the pictures don't really give me the best view. Is this cartel garbage, or a nice watch? I'd love to learn how to judge these and what to look for...

Thanks!

(Apologies at posting to another FS forum, hope that's OK.)

That's a pretty good one. Normal rep dial, but superlumed by vaccum, so that's nice. Crown is too wide, teeth are too big and the inside edge of the crown is not beveled. CG is good, but still not the right shape for an H+ series watch.

Movement is fine, but the "rare" movement with the correct anti-shock isn't much of a selling point. If someone is in-the-know enough to spot an incorrect anti-shock assembly, they will spot the multiple other things that are "tells" on that watch/movement.

$450 seems to be a decent price. It still needs an upgraded crown and CG to be really good.

Thanks, Hooligan. I've picked up that watch and I'll post some nice detailed photos here once it arrives. I think it's probably a good starting point...I can mod this one or resell it if I decide to get something more pricey.

Thanks to everyone on this topic for their help and advice!
