Which PAM 508?

So once the never ending CNY comes to an end, I think I'm going to place an order for a PAM 111 and a PAM 508. The 111 is an easy one, Noob seems like the best contender by far.

PAM 508 however leaves me with a tough decision.

KW-V6Fac A7750
KW-V6Fac Seagull
ZFac A7750

There's then the decision about inverted or non-inverted if I got for an A7750!

All seem to be great reps. Can anybody give their opinion about which is the best option?

Apart from the movement, what cosmetic differences are there between the KW and ZFac? Which factory is know for the best QC?

You did read the guide right? ;)

Maybe you missed the heading on the PAM 508, which mentioned
EVALUATION: SUPER REP (KW-V6Fac P-series Ceramic w/decorated A7750 Inverted)
EVALUATION: SUPER REP (KW-V6Fac P-series Ceramic w/decorated A7750 NON-inverted KP9000-V2)
EVALUATION: SUPER REP (KW-V6Fac P-series Ceramic w/decorated KP9000-Seagull V2 NON-inverted) The most interesting version from April 2015 together with ZFac Ceramic w/A7750 NON-inverted improved
EVALUATION: SUPER REP (ZFac P-series Ceramic w/decorated A7750 NON-inverted improved ZP9000-V2.5) The most interesting version from July 2015 together with KW with Seagull NON-inverted

So all of what you mentioned are super rep class. but the best versions currently are the last two, KW with decorated KP-9000-Seagull non-inverted and ZF with decoarated A7750 non-inverted improved ZP9000-V2.5.

Cosmetically, there isn't any difference between the two factories. In terms of QC, there is no comparison, as the dealers do the QC, not the factories. ;)

Yep, the guide was my first port of call!

Based on what you're saying, I guess when ALE says "interesting" he means good?

So the choice boils down to whether I want Seagull or the A7750 non-inverted?

That would be my guess, based on my understanding of @ALE7575 's English. :) The choice really is a toss up since the PAM508 is a closed caseback model. You wouldn't be able to see the movement, plus both movements aren't as accurate looking because of the balance wheel not being @7 for both (11 o'clock for the A7750, and 6 o'clock for the Seagull ST2555).

I agree with @mysterio. Either movement is fine because of the closed case back. Just focus on getting a V6F and you'll be fine.

Yes this is my idea

It is not the first time I receive a post asking me about "interesting" meaning

What is wrong with "interesting" ?

In Spanish "interesante" can mean it is a thing that is worth to be considered on some aspects like price, quality, accuracy....

Please enlighten me

In some situations, the word interesting can be used as a negative term. For example, in one of my favorite cooking shows, Top Chef, when the judges taste the contestants' dishes, when one comments "interesting...", it usually means they have never tasted anything like it, but usually for the wrong reason. Hahaha

At least you have explained your usage of the term as it is used in the Spanish language. You may consider us schooled. :)

Thanks mysterio
I got it
In Spanish you can use the term "interesante" in the same way, but usually not as negative sense, at least if you are not being sarcastic.

Well, the Spanish version probably is more agreeable than the English equivalent, although there are positive uses for the word. That's why your use of the word interesting to describe what you think are very good representations tends to confuse some.

I would use interesting to describe something that holds my attention, or something that makes me want to find out more about it. It could be positive or negative depending on the context, or even neutral!

I guess your use is valid!

Which would be your choice if you could only have one 508 ALE?
