I would rather get a "1:1", but I really dont like the font style for the hour numbers on the more expensive watch:

The second watch linked next, is quite a bit cheaper, so I'm wondering why, and if any of you more seasoned reppers could give me some input as to why I shouldn't get the cheaper watch/what makes the first one a "1:1" but this second one not:

I noticed they're both using the same movement?
Honestly, I just dont like the comic sans style font on the first one, but the price seems very cheap on the second one

After a quick research, it seems that neither rep gets the case diameter right but no one's going to put a ruler to your watch.
Gen is 43mm here: https://www.tagheuer.com/en-us/watc...87-automatic-chronograph-43-mm-car2014-ba0799

Second, the more expensive rep gets the decorations better in the movement on the back but it's up to you if you care about that or not since they're both a7750's. On the gen watch, it appears to have the comic sans type font so you're stuck with that. The more expensive watch seems to get that better as well as you can see the '2' doesn't hook as much at the top as the lesser expensive one.

Third, I like researching things if it interests me.

The genuine watch comes in many different flavours, I've done a lot of research and seen the watches in store, with both styles of font. I just don't dig the comic sans font, over the non curvy one

I suspect the description on the, more expensive, ZF version might be incorrect as I have the white dial version and it is 43mm not 41mm. Other than the sub dial spacing (and missing 'i' in swiss on the case back), the ZF version is a pretty damn good rep.

In terms of the cheaper version, the numerals aren't very accurate; the crown is wrong; pushers are less accurate; 'Cal. 1887' is wrong; I'm not sure if the sub-dials look too shallow, and; the crystal looks a little cloudy. The latter two thoughts could just be down to the photography though.

So to my eyes the more expensive ZF version is more accurate.

As you said, TAG make two versions of the 2012 43mm 1887, one as per the ZF rep above and another with a slightly different 'font' for the numerals (more reminiscent of the IWC 3714) and an inset seconds sub-dial. The font style of the (more expensive) ZF version is accurate to the first gen version. I'm not aware the second 43mm version has ever been repped.

Incidentally, TAG also made a 41mm version of the CAL 1887 (2110), which has markers instead of numerals.
