Which of these ends links are gen?

I'm having one of those days, could anyone help? Which of these are gen, top or bottom? They're both 19mm

I'm absolutely hopeless at spotting the miniscule shape variations in parts like this, but I'd go with the 571s being gen purely based on the genuinely aged looking patina!

I think it's actually the 557s that are genuine

557 are genuine. If you compare the depth and crispness of the engravings the 557 looks like what I would expect from a genuine.

I'd go for 557 based on the fact that everything about them looks better than the others, chamfers, finish, shaping etc

No opinion but it's crazy how some people can look at two pieces of stamped metal and determine which one is genuine, for me, I look at these ones and I think they're basically the damn same lol, which is why I'm scared of vintage Rolex

I'm no expert, but can spot fake car parts a mile off as I have donkeys yonks of experience, which also applies to watches / parts, i.e. shaping, edges finish, markings clarity etc, and also if you get it in hand the general feel of these

I'm always amazed how laser-focussed so many members here can be, while I'm still looking at a thing being questioned and thinking, "Well it looks alright to me..."

My main reason for posting an opinion is usually so I can learn something when I'm almost invariably completely wrong. I then learn something which I promptly forget shortly afterwards.
