Which movement to replace a 1030 in a gen case?

Hello, and thanks in advance for any help the community can provide!

I have a complete gen 6564 case set on the way to me, and I'm trying to figure what movement I'll need to run in it with the least amount of trouble possible. The dial and hand are included as well, though I'll put those aside for now and will be running a Tudor rose sub dial and merc hands in it.

From what I've read up to now, a 28XX series movement should work, though comparing specs with the 1030, things don't really line up. I'll be happy to do some trial and error once all is in hand and share the results, though a pointer in the right direction would be really handy :)

I'll post pics of the goodies once I have them!

the 2 usual suspects are the 2824-2 and the 2836-2 (or a 2846-2 for a slower beat rate which is closer to the 1030 which was 18,000 bph).
I just went to Ranftt and he doesn't list a 1030 Rolex movement.

Yuki sells an adapter ring that is specially made to adapt a eta28xx to a 1030 case. It is pricey at $65 but i used one on a build and it was very well designed.

Wow, thanks for the info fellas. I'll be on the lookout for a 2824.

I did see the adapter ring as well. I'll wait until the case set is in hand and see what I'll do. This is gonna be a cool project :)

How about a Felsa 4007N? You will still need the Yuki adapter I think. Lower beat rate than the 2824, same diameter. Stem height is the same as a 2824 if you affix the dial directly to the movement.

Plus it's only $86 from Ofrei.

Reading the info on the Yuki adapters, there is no specific mention of this being correct for a 6564 case. They do mention it being god for a 1016...and I beliebe the 6564 ad 1016 cases are pretty similar. Thoughts?
