Dear friends,
I am very far to be a Panerai expert so I would like to ask your help on this matter.
Recently I have decided to do something "crazy" and buy one Panerai with 7753 movement. Since this is a 700 usd replica, I would like spend the money as wise as possible, so please help me on this task.
The two PANs that I have in mind are the PAN 162 with black and blue dial (I really like its configuration) and the PAN 196 Panda with the silver sub dials.
You can find the link of them bellow:

Please let me know your observations on their accuracy.

Thanks.[/img]

I'd go the 196 in a minute if I had the $$, and personally I like the look of the watch. First thing I'd do is switch out the ss strap for a V greek leather. I'd bet you get great service out of either. Good luck in your quest!!

ditto on the panda subdials... I belive there is a gen pan with that dial config but I can't remember the model. agreed it is rare.

the 196 will be hard to beat as long as the 7753 is supplied with a thick datewheel font. try to find out before ordering... I think 7753s are in short supply in general... and the old datewheels may be very hard to locate... please let us know if you suceed!

I read once, God knows where, that the Panda dial was supposed to come in the Slytech model but Panerai changed its mind and used it in the 196 model. But this was only a text information with no pictures attached so I do not know if the Panda dial was supposed to be the Black with Silver subdials or White with Black subdials.
I really appreciate your guys opinions since this watch is quite expensive. I will let you know about the date font as soon as I set my mind in which one I decide to buy.
I hope to know more opinions before take the scorpion from my pocket and buy one of those!
