It's well known that the Rolex shade of rose gold is unique and a lot more pink-shaded than the rose gold used by, say, Patek Phillipe or Audemars Piguet. For this reason it really seems the rep makes struggle with it. Based on comparison to a gen part or watch in hand, which factory has it closest in your opinion? Opinions based on photos alone are pretty worthless, sadly, as the colour and shade of lighting totally affects the colour depicted.

You credit me more expertise than you should probably.

My experience is only based on the watch I bought from mega and one Daytona. The Daytona rg was pretty bad sadly. Was the latest noob version with choco dial. As the only rep rg part of my DJ is the crown, I can't tell a lot, but the color is really close (i couldnt tell a difference tbh)

Judge for yourself

If you ask me GMF is close if it comes to GMTs. Had a rose gold gmt some time ago and it was pretty nice. However, they are not so close on their datejusts. Apart from that, the chocolate dial for DJ41 on GMF is a joke. ARF did a better job in terms of rose gold coloring.
Regardless, ARF has not wrapped bracelets and that makes it useless. All ARF plated versions showed fading after a few time and that’s ridiculous...
I compared a ARF Rosé Gold next to my gen YM Rose Gold. The ARF is ok but depending on light, it’s still not very good. So „unfortunately“ gen is still the only way to go. That’s also the reason why I built this Franken with a rubber band. There is nothing like gen (IMO) and nothing matched with the gen rose gold bezel. Everything looked stupid...

If they ever rep this model, I would have to go for it. GMF, how about it?

Rolex uses less copper and more palladium in their rose Gold to get that nice pink colour . 6.8-7% copper and 17.37% palladium. If you ever ask a jeweler to plate something rose gold you could ask them to use a specific composition.

If I could I would purchase the gen.
However, my next gen will be a 116518LN and therefore I need to save enough. Lol

Unfortunately, it doesn’t make sense to purchase any PM model as rep because their weight is off at all of them

Yeah the 116518LN is a beauty bro. A rep with oysterflex won't have near as much weight difference from a gen, but I don't let that stop me from enjoying PM reps. It's just a matter of how much you are willing to delude yourself, haha.

Last seen in Walmart on my wrist lol.

SABRs a great .

Well, at least I felt quiet a difference while wearing a PM rubber rep versus a gen one on rubber. But probably I’m a bit sensitive.
Thought about the Noob 116518LN as well but after having the ARF 116519LN I didn’t really felt that this was close. honestly speaking, the dial was great but the weight was definitely different than a gen would have...
