Blue may hide prominent ar tone. Whites can be way off.

The general consensus seems to be the Graphite with graphite sub-dials (red "automatic" writing) is the most accurate.

Although the slate gray with black subs (white "automatic" writing) also looks pretty good to me from the pics (but haven't seen it in person)

White dial is too white, the gen is more silvery in color.

Agree with Chillin...Graphite dial BCE rep was supposedly created by copying the gen BCE Graphite sample, so in that respect you'd expect the dial color to be the most acurate one. Rep in slate gray dial with black subdials comes with slate gray chapter ring, and should be black.

If you care about closeness to the gen counterpart, go for the graphite dial (red txt 'Automatic')...you won't regret it. Check the post from 'hk45ca' in Breit section on his BCE from Ruby.

cheers,

I compared my graphite to the picture in the Breitling chronolog and can't really tell the difference. Plus, IMO it's the prettiest one, the silver subdials look fake to me, even on the gens :)

Ha, ha, quite right...but dial designers had to use a little contrasting bling to offset the monochromatic dial face, after all it's a chrono, so some shiny bits should be thrown in for a good measure to still preserve that sporty/dress looking chrono :)

True for the V2, but Angus now has an updated version on his site (V3 i guess) with the black chapter ring.
But not sure about the shade of the gray on the dial since I haven't seen gen and rep side by side.

I just received a V3 black dial with white sub dials that is SPOT on as far as dial, mine has a Gen bezel and vac-lume, but as far as the dial, it is as close as I can tell (referencing my 2008 Breitling catalog).

I've heard the graphite/graphite with red "automatic" is pretty darn close as well...

Except that the subdials should be silver not white. There was a post on RWG not long ago from member who took his black/white BCE V3 rep to Breit AD and compared it with gen, with conclusion the dial was still off in subdials color match.

Still a heck of a good watch/rep, and as long as you don't obsess about the exact 1:1 dial match by comparing it to the gen it's as good as it gets.
