I am hunting for some Panerai style watch straps and want to save a few $$. I know there are some nice companies that make a great strap including HKTAN, however, for those of use who want to spend a little less...

Where can I go to find people selling used straps at a discount?

Go into the rep sales area and keep an eye out for them.

Can? Dude, it does immidietly

btw, stick to the repsales sub forum, once someone will sell his used straps, he will sell more than one for sure, its quite easy to get a good deal on used straps ;)

You can also check out ebay, RWG and TRC. You will have to contribute on these forums to be able to see their trade area.

Also put up a thread in the Wanted section with lug size and length and your looking for and people will oblige you with what they have and are not using. Looking for used products takes a bit of patience but with patience will come purchase of good straps and good prices.

Lots of nice straps at affordable prices from waccex.de, Don Ginsler and in the Specials section at tcstraps.com

You can find several to choose from in each place for ~$50/ea.

i just found some affordable straps at panatime.com decent selection, but not near the quality of the straps here. you can still get some pretty nice straps there. they also ship right from NY and send you an email with tracking number and pictures of the straps they are sending.

I am not sure what model you're referring to, but BOB (MAC) straps are great & affordable.

I own 2 of his straps and they're more than worth the money.

Although the forum is full of conceited rich guys, the paneristi accessories forum has lots of nice used straps at decent prices as well as timezone and it's sales section.

NOOOOOOO

Please do not remind me how much I spent on my straps!!

I like it how Gen watch people talk about the price of their watches:

"It's US$45"

...means it's 4500... gawd.. they are either rich or they are in 'denial mode'...

"yes honey, this IWC just cost me US$140"

LacklusterP,

Post what you want in the "wanted" section. There's got to be 1000's of used straps amongst the members here..... Be as specific as possible on width and length that will work for you....
