Hello

I wanted to reach out to see if anyone knows where to find a good fiddy pam 127 replica? Is davidson a good source, anyone else? What do these replicas run?

I'm just concerned about it looking close to GEN as can be and have decent movement.

Any help would be much appreciated to a newbie.

Thanks

Ryan

Dsn has a good 127. Also Eddie lee is a name you probably would like to check out (though I know nothing about him, only that his pams are great)
I think you can expect to pay around 3-400 at least for a decent one if you are picky. I don't know what EL cost.

I myself am looking for a fiddy too, but I think MRs 127 for 150-200$ (can remember exact price) is good enough for me.

Where would I get that fiddy? Any other reviews on any dealers ?

I know the 177 is hot right now to, being something about 1:1? what does that mean?

if you buy the cheap one and strip the AR its not bad.(90 bucks) someone sold one a few months back that looked great. i think the dsn is nice too.(300bucks+) there is a big leap in price. really depends how picky you are and how much the finishing of the movement (swiss vs asian), sapphire vs mineral ect... matters to you. im thinking about the cheapie with a little work. but its not going to be as nice as a dsn i suspect

I really dont want to do any mods to it, i want it just done and over with....who would have that and best bang for the buck per se....I also dont want it to be obvious its a rep, or the movement to suck...

what dealer would that be?

the new 177 you mention is a new replica, nothing like the fiddys.
there are a few fiddys around, I blieve that taka mentioned recently that mr has a pretty nice fiddy, as does pure time.-I have no idea if others have them, just quoting what he said.

most of the time davidsen (trusted dealer here) is said to have the best fiddy.
his fiddy has a nice mvt and a nice dial, but imo the case has some issues.
eddie lee, is a guy who we all wish was still around the forums, who apparently sourced a great fiddy case. hard to find item, but it showes up every now and again.

if you want a fiddy that needs no mods, you should get in touch with a modder. all of the available fiddys need crown guard work and AR stripping at best, if not additional swan neck and decorated mvt and flush canon pin.

mind you, we might be lucky that the fiddy will be launched in the same quality as the latest 177 and 288.... (wishing)

thanks for all the reply guys. So here's my question, what makes the most recent 177 or 288 so great in terms of quality of replica? And who determines what model watch is next on that list?

I've seen that the 177 is the"best" in terms of accuracy to GEN, just curious how that's determined?

I've seen that the 177 is the"best" in terms of accuracy to GEN, just curious how that's determined?

it's determined by people like myself and the rest of the fanatics that spend
like hours a day examining details under microscopes.

there's a list of like 35 differences usually between a gen watch and a rep
one. with the 288k, that list is down to like 4-5 differences. with the
177l, that list is around 10 or so differences. no rep watch will ever achieve
0 differences, then it would be gen. the 288k is probably the most
accurate to gen rep that's ever come out of a factory. it's almost on par
with the BK/WM9 YM in terms of being classed as one of the best ever
reps produced. the BK/WM9 YM is better, but it's no longer available and
was basically hand built in a "boutique" format, didn't come from a factory.

the factories that make the watches determine what's next. nobody else.
no dealer or forum or any of that determines what's next, despite what
anyone may say. sometimes factories will ask dealers or even forums what
they want to see and ask for assistance, but the decision always lies with
the factories themselves on what they want to build.

if we got to decide what was built, this industry would be much different
looking than it is, we're just along for the ride.

If I recall, DSNs Fiddy is $340ish with an Asian movement, and well over $400 with a Swiss. I don't know whether size matters to you, but I bought a 'Mini Fiddy' a couple of years ago. It was cheap and cheerful, a completely fantasy, and I love it--though it pales in comparison to the DSN full-sized version.

I have a 47mm fiddy and also a 44mm mini-fiddy.

I really like the mini-fiddy and wear it as much as the bigger one.
I think it may be something to look into.

ok, heres the info i think you are looking for...if you want a out of the box pretty close to gen pam 127 its the dsn ultimate fiddy ( lumed, good hands, decent dial, decent cg,) for 400-450$....

as far as the EL pam 127 forget it, hes not around anymore...IF someone puts it for sale it can go from 600-1000$ easy and most of time with no mods in the 600$ range and then you need to mod and the money can start to ramp up; and then you still have to worry which version you are getting as the v4 was the best(case, dial, bezel) while v5 case was too big(just alittle)

your best bet get the dsn ultimate pam 127, you will be happy
