Hello everyone,

I've been searching for a while now and I think I'm getting closer to what my 1st rep PAM options would be :

- PAM104 (luminor automatic)
- automatic with soft sweeping second hand
- rubber strap with deploy buckle
- saphyre glass

I don't mind paying more than 200$ if these options are here and not difference can be seen compared to gen.
To be completely honest, there is difference I would love to have, it's a bottom glass (saphyre or not) to be able to see the mechanism. This does not exist with gen luminor auto PAM104.

44mm or 40mm, both should be ok for me.

For instance, so far, the best I've seen is here (http://www.timeshops.net/PAN2485_-_Pane ... 4-5081.htm) BUT the small circle/disk for the seconds (at the nine's position) looks weird to me, it's more shiny than the dial. I think you shouldn't see it, it should be the same black than the dial.
I hope I made myself clear enough, english is not my mother tongue ;)

So if you know any dealer having this or if yourself experiencesd a good similar buy, please let me know.

Thanks for your help.
This site is really excellent !
Congratulations for the massive work.

Many thanks for your very quick answers. I hope all the work you're doing here allowed you to buy at least a gen watch ;)
I'll give a try with davidsen and let you know in this post (I guess I have to contact him by email, right ?).

Any ideas where I could buy a rubber panerai strap ? I'll ask davidsen too but just in case someone already went through this ...

Many thanks again.

Hey Offpan, you are right about that, but then you can go to his section and pick one closer to your expectations its here --> viewforum.php?f=40

I got a fiddy from him and i am happy about it although the dial colour is off-white a bit, but the its not a fatal flaw.

There are nothing as a "perfect" rep, only once which are close, very close for naked eye.

regards,
miccau

You're right about "perfect" reps.
I think the PAM 111H and the fiddy are the ones closest to the gens.
I like the 111H, maybe I'll go for that one instead of the 104. Or maybe both ;)

Anyway, it was just something I noticed and wanted to share.

For now I'm thinking "stop posting and buy one !" but I'll wait for LOS's raffle to end (PAM 005) :)

 Well i think its alright about posting before you get one, i had a lot of question myself too before i get one, busying comparing the gen and the rap, very busy....
So you have signed in for the 005J raffle? Good man, I'm not brave enough to head in yet, but that's a nice piece i am willing to get just not in my "get it right now!" list.

Actually it's a quite new concept for me to be able to have a good (very good) quality rep for PAMs so I've been very excited for about 2 weeks, searching what PAM would be THE one I want and where to get it.
Now that I know DSN is a great dealer for PAMs, I have doubts about the model.
I wanted a PAM 104 (44mm, automatic, date, solid case back) but I really enjoy the case back on 111H. I wasn't really sure about mechanical watches and I still don't know if a sandwich dial looks better than a sausage one.
And then, LOS raffle. I thought I would give it a go, 120$ for a gen is given, even if I have to pay customs fees, it's still a good price.
If I don't win (how could it be ? :) ), then I'll be back to my issues. PAM 104 ? PAM 111H ? With a nice tootall strap :)
Thing is DSN PAM 104 is 280$ and PAM 111H is 430$. I guess you have what you pay for when you buy a DSN 111H at 430$ but still, it's starting to be a little expensive (not say you have to add about 75$ for the strap).

As you can see, I've been thinking about PAMs these days. Can't wait to find a solution and get back to a normal life with a great PAM on my wrist :)

Mmm...looks like you got yourself a win win situation there, good luck to you on the raffle! As for me i got poison by PAM lately so i am doing the same searching and picking having difficulties deciding which one to get oh well, it happens  by the way, i will vote for the sandwich dail, cause that's what got me into getting a PAM in the first place, but then, either way, CHOOSE one and share some photos with us!

Reading your signature, I think you bought the PAM 127 (fiddy, right ?).
From which dealer ?
Did you post pictures ?
Did you buy a strap ?
I can see you entered the forum just on e day before me but you already have your rep, you were faster than me making your decision :)

Yea dude, you are right, my first rep and my first pam too, got it from David. You can check out my review on --> www(dot)replica-watch.info/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=153&t=57594  actually i did a lot of reading before becoming a member, so not too quick i saw another pal 'bigjohn' he registered later then me but he got tones of watches himselves already...i am just a beginner

Oh forgot the mention, the package comes with two strap, and its alright...but then i really think you should get on your own. I got an extra alligator strap from him, its because some QC problem so i got it. Its not bad wearing but then its looks....not as good, oh well.

Nice review.
This 127 is really huge :)

I have to read a little more before buying.

For instance, I have to figure out with a PAM 111H would cost 430$ with david and 358$ with a swiss movement on TS, or 178$ for a 177H (same but titanium case).

Actually my next step will be to go and checkout the gens 104 and 111 to see if I prefer sandwich or sausage dial, then I will move forward to the next step. But of course, by then, I will have win the LOS raffle :)

Thanks for your feedback anyway !

It is indeed very huge, i fell in love with this one at the first sight, so that's the accidental outcome

Mmm...if the 111h cost 430, its indeed quite pricey as you've mention before, i've not yet found any updated 111h buyer's review from his section. 104 is nice too, but then its not a see though back as the 111h thou :( , but you need not to think about that just yet before you got your 005j [smilie=evil6.gif]

On the raffle list, I'm number 5 for a PAM 005 so it's absolutely sure I'm gonna win it :)
The true question is : When I sell it afterwards, what will I buy ? A gen 111 or a gen 104 ? [smilie=confused3.gif]

Btw, how much did you pay for your fiddy ?

I have to search for PAM 111H buyers/reviews.

Wish me luck :)

Ticket 5 for pam 005j? Nice matching number :) So you are planning to sell it? Oh its not in your wanting list i guess

I think i paid 390usd since the price had gone up whereas before is 340usd bad timing :x

Oh maybe you can try Ruby's section for 111h see if she got once with canon pin fixed and all, the dail might not be as good as the DSN onces thou, good luck on that
