An AD possibly? I'm not sure.

I know that I can buy one at an AD, but I was wondering if they were available on the internet, maybe some dealers sell by post order.
My closest AD is 300 kilometers from here, that´s why I asked.

they're for sale all the time there. I think they're junk.
one will run you from $150-300 used I think depending on the strap.

there's a reason there's over a hundred companies dedicated to nothing more than
making straps for Panerai watches, and it's not because the OEM ones are nice.

they're usually always very short. like 115/75 or so, the buckles are flimsy in
comparison to good aftermarket buckles. I just don't like their feel or quality.

but hey, if that's what you like, then you'll have no trouble finding one. most gen
Pam owners, well a great majority of them in my opinion, don't wear the OEM strap,
they put on much nicer aftermarket ones. for that money you can buy a gunny or
something of the highest caliber.

I'm very picky about straps, and if I don't make it myself, then there's only one or
two strap makers really that I'd buy from. and Panerai isn't one of them, lol. Gunny
is though, might I suggest looking at his stuff if you're willing to spend that much
on a strap?

Outside of the gators, I think the OEM hide straps are pretty overpriced.

I'm afraid that for ~$200 or more, you'll be disappointed with what the OEM straps deliver.

Why not aftermarket? Most gen Panerai owners wear their watches on aftermarket straps, at least part of the time. Not like Rolex owners...

I never buy OEM straps, there are MANY aftermarket straps that are much nicer, I mean, why pay $200 for a piece of common leather? I would suggest Panatime.com or http://www.sectime.co.uk for website dealers and try the strap dealers for others... :)

Mario Paci FTW. He actually used to make the straps for panerai back in the days so that's basically an OEM strap!

Following gen owner posts on the other forums, there's absolutely nothing wrong with enjoying the quality and variety of the "non-gen" straps. I've seen a number of straps sold on these forums that are incredibly impressive.

Thanks guys.
Now I´m not sure about the OEM-thing anymore...

How much are you looking to spend, what color are you after and what type of hide (calf, horween, gator, exotic)?

We'll help you.

just trying to save you some money.
I've bought and then sold 3 gen straps.

I'm 300% happier with:

I´m after something in that color, dark brown.
Maybe not necessarily croc, it could be calf, deer, croc, ostrich, or something else...

Price range?
$75->$150, something. :)
