What's your favorite IWC chrono Pilot?

Unfortunately I cannot create a poll here on RWI.

I have owned different IWC Pilot watches, I find the Mark line easy to wear but the dials are a little less appealing to me.
On the other side, the IWC Pilot chronos are a little oversized or simply too thick for my wrist.

Curious to know what are your preferences among the chrono pilot watches

My favorite is still the 3717 with steel bracelet.
I like the 3878 too but it's a bit too hefty for my wrist size.

is zF still making the pilot chronos?
My best suggestion (as I don't really have the overview) is to check on one of the TD's shops what models are offered by which manufacturarers, and then write to the TD to make sure those are in fact available. I usually gravitate towards TrustyTime as he is reliable and fast to answer, but I guess any of them would do it.

FUnny, it look exactly like mine above :) . Is it gen or I should have saved my money for something else?o_O

Very similar to yours but it's a doppelchronograph, you see the 3rd pusher at 10-o-clock

we need the factories to bring back the top gun chrono
Yes!

The problem is the factories try to keep up with the latest watches, and the new 'in-house' IWC movements have different placement of the seconds hand sub dial which makes replicating them more difficult and less reliable for those that modify the 7750 to mirror this.

But the designs are often so nice that, even though I'm not a big chron fan, it's almost worth having an incorrect dial layout to wear that watch. And suspect it's actually not that noticeable on the wrist.

The IW379901 that CF Stan showed would be ideal as uses the standard 7750 dial layout; the new versions swap 9 & 6 sub dials.

There's a new IW389101 at 44mm or a 41mm equivalent (IW389401) which would be super sweet.

This is original, not rep :(

I have this one, 46mm. I love it but the movement needs a service or replacing. My favourite watch...
Yeah, unfortunately not the most solid and reliable movement of the lot. Same concern for my Spitfire with secs at 6.
If you don't mid me asking, what's the issue with your movement?

A spare A7750 with secs at 6 would cost alone 160-180 USD on Aliexpress.
As for a full service, pretty much the same if not more given the limited number of watchmakers happy to work on this movement and the lack of spare parts.
