What's the trick to starting up the 6497 movement ?

I know I've read it here before. I shipped a PAM 111 to a buyer here and he is having trouble getting it going.

just keep winding it. sometimes it takes a few winds before the movement begins.

OR sometimes it's the opposite. Gets overwound and blocks. Solution to that is to let the watch rest untouched for sometimes... if you're lucky. A smack or two might help, too...

Slap it in the palm of your hand....crystal side down. Soemtimes they get stuck and need a little help.


I have also had success by slamming one on the watch bench in anger......not the recommended method though.

If it's one of the new Hfactory reps it might be wise to open the back and make sure the regulator screw hasn't gotten loose.
