whats the best color strap for ti pam?

I got a military green from Savage for my 089. Looks really wonderful and goes with the anthracite face as well as the Ti body. I've posted pics in the '089 ducks in a row... for the moment' entry. I'd say blue would work depending on the face. My 059 TI has a mid-brown Savage, but it goes more with the brown face than anything--though still fab. with the ti body. I'd suspect anything but gray.

I would say the color of the strap also depends on the color of the dial. With Ti PAMs it could be an anthracite dial, brown dial, black dial, blue dial or even white. While the strap might look good against the darker gray of the Ti case, it also needs to be appropriate for the dial. Neilsen's military green looks fantastic on his 089 with anthracite dial, but wouldn't look nearly as nice on a blue dial 082 or a brown dial 036/061/118, ya know?

Pix, that's a PAM061/PAM118, not the 036. The 061 is a C series and the 118 was E series and newer, so they would both be Luminova dials. The reason that DSN's 036 dial is too yellow is that he is trying to mimic the aged tritium look of the PAM036.

I know many people change the strap of their Pam Ti, but I found the original stuff the best.
I supposed designers at Richmond or Panerai are guys who know what they do.
Take a look at the strap on their website, might help.

However to answer your question, I find that leathers with hints of red in them look really well on the Ti models. The darker browns seem to take away from it and black makes it look to much like steel.

tootal, i totally agree about the redish ones. thats what i was thinking, and light gray looks good. i really want a ti bracelet to go with it, but theyre hard to find :wink:

Someone recently posted a shot of a Ti PAM with a custom Grey strap and i remember it looking striking. I think it was one of our own Gunny, Tootal or Savage...

I am in love with that sterile Ti watch with the green strap from blueradish. Great job on that watch all around. Dial, hands, lume and that strap are just so unusual. Takes the Ti Pam in a whole new direction.
