No, it's not a stupid question at all. It's powered by a Russian Molnija 3602 movement. Given the Soviet way of "why invent something when we can steal it", it is a copy of the Cortebert movement that was used by Rolex in the earliest PAMs, so I felt it was a appropriate one to have in an homage piece. Molnija/Molniya/
?????? is Russian for "lightning".
Keep in mind that PAMs basically started their lives as pocketwatches which were turned on their sides with new faces and had either wires or lugs welded or soldered to the cases to allow for a wrist strap. That's why the seconds are at 9 rather than at 6 that you see on pocketwatches.
