I decided to take the back off my new 47mm Egiziano (don't worry, I know how to put it back on and keep ot waterproof) and see what movement it had. It has the Seagull ST25 23j movement, which to my surprise looks really good. It's very well finished, with perlage on the rotor and plates, colimaconnage on the edges and some anglage on the plates as well. Something else that struck me was how it just looked like a solid, quality movement. It's hard to quantify but it just looks solid and well made, to such an extent that it reminds me of a Swiss ETA 2824 or 2892. No doubt there's something wrong there, this is a Chinese movement and we must be realistic. But it's still damned impressive.

It´s the same as mine. Have been using it on and off the wrist for the last 14 days without winding or setting the time. It´s got an excellent power reserve and is silent within the large caseset.
