What would you get for 1K

Ok, I'm ready to dive in big time on the pam reps but I find myself in a trouble spot here and I need a push in one direction or the other....

I want to get the following PAM reps:
1 Ti
1 PVD
1 White face (non crono)
1 47mm (127, 217 or 3646 Deco Bezel)

But I only want to spend around 1000 usd in this initial plunge, and I'm obviously thinking of DSN first, as the main dealer to get these from.

So.....

Which one would you leave out? (since I could only get 3 DSN pams for 1K)

Which would you get for each type of pam? (Ti, PVD, white and 47mm)

Should I just pace myself and get one at a time (although I fear I will end up spending more this way).

I love the 82 but waiting on more reviews or word on pending upgrades from DSN, dont know if there is any other decent PVD other than the 195; the 28 or 57 would be sweet choices if they were available and had a decent date magnifying crystal. 113 for the whitey looks good and the ultimate fiddy looks awesome although I personally would preffer an ultimate 217 if it was available, I guess my main areas of uncertainty are the Ti and PVD; lume looks to yellow on the 36 for my taste and 177 has L swiss made L instead of L swiss L that i've seen on the gen, did it change recently?

Any opinions/comments, help or push is greatly appreciated.

Funny, but I was thinking the same thing when I first got on these boards. Now I want the best rep possible, and I'm going one watch at a time. I want correct lume, the latest sapphire crystal, the correct crowns, calibrated and update movements, the latest dial etc..

Pick one, and get the best rep you can find, and then move on from there.

David San has different parts than everyone else. But he has the best hands on the market. And probably the best crystal.

The sandwich dials will have the best and most accurate lume. Ti is nice, and the 177H is one that I've been concentrating on. I also picked up a 111H DSN from a friend.

By the time I'm done, I will probably have $500/ea tied up into my 111H and 177H. But I'll have the satisfaction knowing that I max'ed out what was available on the rep market and the best possible movement I could put into my watch.

Get the correct crystal, with the best AR. Get the correct movement, the superlume, the most updated dial, the thicker crown etc.. And then you'll need some great straps which might cost more than the watch!! Gregstraps, the nicer TCs, the Micah straps, Europelli and so on.....

So I think you should pace yourself and you'll enjoy the hobby/obssesion more that way

1. Get Davidsen's white dial 055, that kills two birds with one stone (Ti and white dial).
2. Get a PVD MM20 from Davidsen (that's two more boxes checked -- 47mm and PVD).
3. Get whatever else tickles your fancy for #3.

Problem solved!

I agree, go for the best rep one at a time. If you start buying several reps at a time you will never enjoy any of them. Buy a good high end one from davidsen and enjoy it a while no rush to filll up your watch box.

I would personally do the 177h (Ti) or I'd get the 089Ti from Andrew, the 113 (white dial, my dealer review is up on this, got mine today) and the 217 (47mm and not as common as the Fiddy).

*wishing I could pull off a 47mm*

Ti.... I have a 111H and a 217... and I want a Ti...

My 217 swiss swan neck just sits in the watch box... it's beautiful... and at 6'3", 250, I can definitely pull off a 47mm.... but I think the 47mm's are just easier to pick off as fake... just because of exclusivity...

Do the 177H... max it out mod-wise.... and enjoy it....

yea... you know... when you think about it it's great, because there's no real wrong answer to the question....

go with the 45mm's first... then the 47mm's... then the chronos... only because when your 7750 breaks, at least you have some other nice Pannies to keep you company... hehe
