What would a Gen Panerai Velcro strap retail at?

If someone were to go into a boutique and buy one, how much would they be parting with?
I only ask, as a few days ago, I received an awesome PAM velcro strap from Narikaa. Black, with blue stitching. I'd intended to wear it with my 187-based fantasy watch, the One Eight Something, for when I go camping, so I wouldn't have to worry about any other straps being damaged. (The blue stitch goes great with the blue dial printing) As soon as she saw it, my wife said "You've just devalued your watch by about a grand..." (Yes, she does know they're reps, but, she also knows what the gens cost, so she was obviously going by that marker) Would a genuine PAM velcro strap really devalue a watch, say, compared to one with a leather/rubber/ss strap, or, being a branded item, would it carry the same value as the other options? Just something I was thinking about :)
Thanks in advance :)

Although it wasn't my original intention, I put my 104 on it today, while wearing shorts and a wife-beater, and it just looks like a really nice casual watch. It certainly hasn't made the watch 'look' cheaper...

I'm relatively certain that the cost of the nylon/velcro OEM strap is probably on par with the cost of the gen rubber strap.

No idea what the retail is, but I'm sure it's north of $100.

No, it wouldn't "devalue" your watch at all.

A good condition used ones are usually sold for between $100 to $150 range at the Risti...Don't know how much they charge at the AD...

Tried on before but just not my cup of tea...

Thanks for the info, guys :) I have to admit, I never used to like velcro straps at all (I had an Animal strap once, which was scratchy and uncomfortable) but the PAM one, is really nice, as the only 'open end', is the outside 'fold', rather than anything under the watch itself, which, on the Animal strap, had a tendency to dig into my wrist under the watch :) I have modded the strap slightly in two ways. One, was removing the rubber keeper. It didn't really do anything, but I put it on my 24mm dive strap instead, and Two, was using a set of nail clippers, to round the edges of the velcro strip, which would be exposed, even when the 'outer fold' is in place, as I had a hunch they'd only snag on things and ruin the strap, so I figured it was as easy to remove the corners prior to damage occuring, and it's now really nice and comfortable to wear, with no hint or risk of snagging. Certainly not a strap I'd wear daily in a suburban setting, but, for camping or outdoor pursuits which could tear a rubber strap (or make the bars/clasp/buckle slice through the rubber), it's absolutely ideal :)

That is about the going rate... on the Risti, TZ and the 'bay... New?... they are out of this world... over 200$ at last check.

If they were a bit cheaper, I'd snag one... but as it stands, I can get some dang nice leather for that price... too much for me to spend on some machine made nylon.
