Hello all,

I am in the market for a PAM111 and received the below pics yesterday but the seller didn't exactly know which version was this so I am hoping that you experts can help me. Looks like it has a Y incablock so I am assuming it is a recent model? Please let me know what you think and if also feel free to point out anything that jumps at you as I am seriously considering to buy this. Sorry for the pic quality but this is what I received :/

PS: Maybe it is the pic quality but the dial doesn't seem to be sandwich to my eyes?

PSS: I couldn't figure out how to attach photos but I hope this link works

The best thing for you to do is consult Ale's PAM guide, which is a sticky in the panerai section. All of your questions will be answered there.
Not so true. I have looked at Ale's wonderful Pam guide more times than I can count and it does not help for this particular model (or at least I couldn't tell...ans henceforth the question over here). Ale's Pam guide is not up to date for all the models (which is a very difficult job to do).

I appreciate the suggestion but not all of us newbies are lazy bums and some of us do our homeworks (to the best of our abilities of course) prior to asking a question. If you or someone can answer the question, that's wonderful and that's exactly why we all participate to such forums (to share knowledge), but if you can't, please don't make assumptions and send us to directions with no help.

Ps: I asked the same question to Ale as well but haven't heard from him either. With this many experts in the forum, frankly speaking, I am a bit surprised with the lack of answers so far. Oh well.

Where are you buying this from? Probably not a good sign that the person/TD doesn't know what it is, especially since those are QC pics you posted..

He is a TD here (not sharing his name yet as he seems to be a beloved one on here and has been very responsive to my emails other than answering specifics of this particular question) and he told me that this was an updated kW version. I asked what version that would be and no answers to that question yet.

These are not my QC pics btw (but you are right, I think they are QC pics), he simply sent me those and asked if I would be interested in this model since I was in the market for a Pam. Don't get me wrong I think it looks great but again, I'm no trained eye...looks like it has a y incabloc and correct panerai fonts and all and I was going to guess that it was a V4 but since he said KW..I couldn't find out which Kw that would be.

Any ideas? Or is there anything that jumps at you? Since o cannot tell, I think I am going to pull the trigger on this one regardless but of course it would be great to have some rwi feedback.

Firstly: QC pics are not allowed here, and less for identification purposes

This is a free forum and nobody is obligated to answer your questions, and less about forbidden QC pics

That said:
The dial is sandwich without doubts
The watch actually seems a KW with rep modified Incabloc and new caseset, ever with correct position of lug holes
I never saw a O-series but there are a lot of mixing parts in current Luminor 44mm versions, and everything is possible

If the price is OK t is a good purchase

Ale,

First and foremost, thank you very much for answering my question, I truly appreciate it. I can assure you that these were not my QC pics (they were sent to me as "how about this model?, would you consider if I get you one of these?" type of pics and I really couldn't figure out the true version from the PAM guide despite spending hours on it (which makes sense since it seems to be a mix and match kind of rep).

Thanks again for your feedback. So this version seems to have the correct lug holes? That's great then (price is right and I will order one since it seems to have your blessing :))

Cheers
