What sort of questions do you ask a TD? (PAM 111)

Hello everyone,

I´m looking for a PAM and reading the guide has narrowed it down to a Noob 111. I´m just not sure if it's possible to get V3 or the mix and match V3/v4 that people are currently getting.

Anyway, my question is, never having dealt with a TD, what questions are typically asked (apart from QC images) ?

Before qc: do You have Noob 111 V3 in stock?
After qc: please take a look at the marker at 9, it looks tilted/wrong....

If you choose the right TD there's basically only two things you need to ask...

Can you get the watch I want?
How can I pay you?

Before qc: do You have Noob 111 V3 in stock?
After qc: please take a look at the marker at 9, it looks tilted/wrong....

Thank you gentlemen for your replies. I´ve never had to do this and didn´t want to make an ass of myself, but it seems simple enough.

Daywatch, is it is common for the 9 o´clock marker to be tilted/wrong on the Noob V3? One of my concerns was the very thick (wrong looking) engraving of the Panerai text on the bridge. Anything else to look for on QC pictures?

Keep it simple. Unless there are known issues with a certain version that you want them to avoid, then for the most part a TD will get a good watch. Don't expect total perfection. As Toro says "Sir this is a replica, please don't be too picky"

Thanks for the advice Grimlocktime. Part of my day to day work is being picky with details, but I want to enjoy this hobby so I will try to leave my pickiness at the office.

Hi, just a sample, it could be anything else. Of course each question will delay the qc-process by 1 or 2 days. Just don´t overthink it in the beginning and don´t question everything, You just need a good dose of luck. Just refuse when something is very obviously wrong at first sight.

I am also a slave to rhe details, hence why Toro told me that after I had rejected about 4 watches. LOL

I would say it is a good idea to know what the standard is of any replica you buy and not accept any less. For example. Recently I bought a PAM382 which is known for having a terrible skinny crown and bad CG in later batches (this has since been fixed). I accepted the watch anyway, knowing that those flaws could not be helped.

But if I were going to order one of the recent super reps like the PAM243, the PAM508, or any others to many to list, I would be very picky about things like the pearl, bezel, or the CG, because the standard on those watches is much higher.
