Ok go ahead and laugh. This one should be a few years old and I bought it from either Beijing or Shenzhen markets. At that time I was just looking for a skeleton watch to admire the inner workings, and the shop offered me a "Panerai".

Its a manual handwind and I paid $80 or so.

So... is there such a Pam? Really a fantasy right?

that's just a cheap asian skeleton homage.
you can have one built for you for under $100 total from Jackson or any
homage dealer probably.

I think its a great looking watch that probably gets you more comments than the average PAM would.. It would be interesting to know how they make those movements , do they build them like that or modify the A6497. I am always surprised at the amount of effort that seems to go in to these skeletons. Its a fantasy for sure but its always good to have alt least one I guess.

Haha thanks for the comments - I knew it probably wasn't really a Panerai style but for the price of $80 I guess I just wanted something like that in the box.

Here are some more pics.

On the same token, I also found this skeleton for even less than $80 and added to my collectables.

Its nice to gaze at when its running. I've tried wearing it to the office and guess what? It drove me nuts...!

The ticking is so damn loud that I couldn't get any work done, especially if i started using my left hand to lead my head on when thinking. At the end, took it off and stashed it in my bag. LOL

skeleton watches are nice to begin with, but to me, they are the sort that is best left inside the watch display cabinet/winder to be admired and not really for practical wearing.

Same, I think it looks hot! I dunno what all the negativity is about skeletons. I prrsonally think there's nothing better checking the time, watching all the internals doing their thing...but that's me
