What next?

Hi,
Having thrown myself into the Rep game following a life long admiration of watches I initially detested Panerai. But within 6 months I succumbed and now have the 111M Noob which is probably my favourite watch!

But...what next??? I know the 111M is one of the best 'out of the box' reps. But looking for a contrast I like the look of the Pam 188H

A nice contrast in style to the 111 no? How is this rep in terms of accuracy? Are there other better Pams of similar 'busier' style as a contrast to the 111 that i could consider?

Not familiar with them....how do they compare to the oone I highlighted in my original post? I take it you mean this similar chunkier style....

Are these considered 'good' reps? How do they and the 188 compare in quality of rep?

I have that same 188H and I f****** love it!

White dial has something different and with the chrono pushers on the brushed luminor case with polished bezel engraved make it looks even more different than any other pam IMO.

And the 7753 movement is great with the button to change the date same as original... Is one of the best reps out there IMHO.. I don't know which are the flaws on this rep but for sure they are not big tells...

I wear it on a Gunny Caitlin 4 (awesome strap BTW..) which gives it a more "casual" look...


And well... About SUBMERSIBLES , I own the PAM 243 rep with 7750 movement and obvious flaws.. (big numbers on bezel , date window doesn´t augment the date at all... wrong font on the date...). I bought it because I love the 243 and now I can't wait to see the new "H" factory 243 that's going to be released soon... And hope they rep the amazing 305 too... But on these days you can't compare the current rep of the PAM 243 with the 188 or 251 reps.

And about DSN 025 or 024 I'd go for the titanium 025 that looks great (specially the colour of the lume on this one). But not cheap.. And no PAYPAL accepted from DSN .. lol !


Anyway.. I think that white dial,engraved bezel and chrono of 188 and 251 make them more different than the 024/025 with the only difference of submersible bezel look...

another white dial is the 251. I chose it because of the brushed bezel and put a gen gator on it. I love it.

The both look very good....are the bezels different at all...both brushed?

you can see on your 1st pic that the bezel and crown guard on the 188 are polished and the bezel and crown guard on the 251 are brushed.

Another difference between 251 and 188 is the numbers on the dial.

I preffer the contras of the brushed case and pushers with the polished bezel and CG. And the numbers on dial.. So that's why I got the 188.

Apart from that they are the same watches, same maker and same movement.

Think i'm edging towards the 188....busier dial as a real contrast to most Pams. On my list for next buy!
