That is a 5218-201A, in which the owner sent the case out for PVD treatment. Panerai never produced that watch as shown.

I seee ...thats cool..so at least a genuine owner also did the pvd coatng on their pam ...I might do the same thing too..:)

I recognise that watch. It was posted on the paneristi forum late last year and the guy who now owns it explained that it is a frankenwatch. According to him it was assembled from an assortment of OEM parts, including a genuine 201A dial, but with a standard ETA/Unitas 6497 movement. It has a caseback from a C or D series 001. The regular Paneristi congratulated him on this 'unique' piece, rather than call it out as a fake. There's obviously a fine line here.... franken = OK........rep = hanging offence.

Hi, I've bought a PVD PAM last we from Belial auction. He has presented it as a PAM 009, but looks like much more this one. Can you send me the link talking about the watch if you remenber where to find it (i have search on Paneristi forum this week but without much success).

Thanks for your help - if someone else have info about it, please PM :D

@ Golfman...it was a Pam 005 logo PVD....not a pre-vendome model as this one is.

I have a 005 and it's not the same as on your pic (the 005 has the sub sec at 9 ; on your pic no sub)
