What is your favorite white dial GMT? Explorer II Polar or....?

Hi all,
New to the rep side, but have dabbled in the watch scene for years and have a few gens that I cherish. Looking to diversify the collection and was originally thinking an Explorer II polar. I'd like a white dial GMT.

I've read through the buying process / trusted ADs etc. and that all makes sense. Appreciate this community for all of the great resources! When it come's to the Explorer II, it doesn't sound like there are any super high quality reps available. Sounds like Noob was the best, but they got shut down. GMF w/ VR3186 sounds like the next best option, but the only one's i've been able to find (jtime, intime, trusty) have the A3186 which I hear is crap. Also the fact that they left the GMT hand ring orange is so sad...

Thoughts or recommendations? If there isn't a great option for the polar, what are your favorite white dial GMTs?

Have a look at the avenger GMT, it’s done very well…

@RedBearrd, thanks for posting that pic of the Breitling! I recently acquired an Avenger GMT rep and was thinking about swapping the GMT bezel for a regular minute countdown bezel. I will be looking forward to a rep of this model.

It may sound crazy but the lack of good options is making me want to try my hand at building a 16570 Franken... I don't have any experience servicing automatic movements but feel comfortable with the assembly process otherwise.

How much servicing is really required on the VR3186 movements from the factory?

The builds by CaptainRep, Johnny Depp, and KJ2020 are definitely an inspiration and that ebay case they're using is quite intriguing!

Jtime has the older red GMT hand with an A2836 movement. IMO its the best you'll find right now. I'm happy with it but i'm not super concerned about exact 1:1 replicas. The bezel is the most noticeable part. You could swap that out for a gen.

That ebay case looks great. I've been really wanting to buy one as well.
