Here's mine. In spite of all it's flaws, the 212 with a nice, thick, dark brown Paw Marker strap.

I have had davidsens' "ultamite 111h" for about 3 weeks now. I think the look of the polished stainless steel is so versatile. With the change of a strap, it goes from casual to dress.

That watch is anything but 'deep cover'.

OK, that was bad. Sweet watch though. Pretty sure it's too huge for my wrists though.

I really like this 212. It looks better than most of the Radiomirs with 2 subdials.

There is no date so I don't understand why with two subdials they didn't stick with a less expensive and more reliable manual wind movement. Most, if not all of the Radiomir's with 2 subs are manual.

The early 212s did have a manual wind seagull movement, Austin. However, it has a display caseback and the manual wind movement is visually completely wrong compared to the gen auto movement (obviously). The early manual powered models had a more correct dial with the minute tick marks "facing" outward instead of inward. Unfortunately, that model had a less correct CG, although it didn't have the "reg. tm." engraving on it.

Having said that, my favorite Panerai is my 196. The only things that really need to be addressed are the lume color is a bit too green (plain C3, I believe), the hour marker at 6 is a bit too long and the CG needs the lever mod done. The date font may be a *bit* too thin, but it's not bad.

Thanks Hooligan,

The ST-19 made perfect sense to me. Personally I would take the extra savings and obvious reliability of the ST-19 over the caseback correct Asian 7750 and all its problems. I really don't get into caseback shows to fanatics.

I do like your 196 model. It looks like a very sporty PAM 147. Maybe it is the angle but it really looks like a fat crown on that. The stock asian one does not look that full. Did you alter it?

Fantastic skeleton mini-Fiddy, Reg!

Austin, yep, that's a Palpatine crown. I agree, the ST-19 would be my choice if it wasn't for the "chopped" CG on that model...
