What is this mechanism in the back of this PAM212?

I am looking to buy a PAM212 from a dealer I know very well. He wants $120 for this watch so I asked him if I could see the back of it - to see if it was a seagull or an asian 7750.

Well, this looks to me like a cheap asian auto movement and not worth $100

Can anyone with more experience tell me what this mechanism is?

I'd be very careful about those invisible mechanisms. They're usually non-existant!

I concur with your diagnosis, that looks very like the cheap mech that comes in the £30 Pannies on h**h'ng.c*m and other cheapass sites!

PS I still have to take my B&R in to your watch guy, I have the replacement screws and bars now.

Thats what I thought. I shall email him to ask where the 30 Euros hike in price comes from.

By the way, where did you get the spare bars from - I need some now for my 39mm rep. Same thing happened.

I've got three watches with Sean in Piccadilly at the moment. He'll sort it I am sure.

it's a very cheap assian 21J. Please, don't paid more than $30. :wink:
