im genuinely trying to find a watch for sale from a trusted dealer or used piece from a member on here, i keep seeing posts like, "supporters or patreons 1st" ive tried looking at what that is but cant find info,

the whole watch buying process seems purely based on trust with no paypal offered or any guaratee of delivery of said item ,

making options to commit seem less and less

If that's not sufficient for you, I'm afraid that buying counterfeit replicas in an unregulated and illegal market is probably not the right thing for you.

Our M2M is also based on trust. For both TD and M2M, you get RWI's backing when something goes wrong....

But if that's not enough and you need / expect state-regulated warranties and other insurances / consumer protections, legal retail at Amazon or at your local retailer is the way to go for you.

In the rep price range of 300 to 900 USD, there are many great brands like Tissot, Seiko, Citizen, Certina and others, as well as countless microbrands.

There are plenty of other payment options for you to choose for with Trusted Dealers, payments that are safe to use and are not necessarily PayPal.

Just like any other business, the sellers/dealers decide how to conduct their business and they don't have to provide anyone with shortcuts. Thankfully, those who are members of RWI and decide to support or patron RWI get extra benefits and our Trusted Dealers have willingly matched those benefits.

When it comes to the Member to Member (m2m), the same stands. Sellers choose the buyers and they set the rules for their sale. I personally do not sell to certain part of the members and I state that very clearly on my sales and most do as well.

These restrictions you are finding are due to countless bad experiences caused by amateurs or actual scammers that bring such hassle to sellers and TD's alike.

And this does not make sense, if you pay for an item, is that not guarantee of delivery?

Of course it has to be on trust, this is an illegal industry where all laws and rules are against it.

im not sure why have you concentrated on this section of my post , and ignored what i was actually asking about, im trying to find out what a supporter or patreon is? my comment about that was just to imply that when i looked through members posts for sale, the items from these sellers are quite often only wanting to sell to similar members, that are supporters or patreons, "making options to commit seem less and less"

PS: The only negativity I see in this thread is your assumption or fear that you may get scammed and not receive what you ordered from a TD, despite our TDs having a proven track record of 100% delivering as promised for almost two decades:

"No guarantee of delivery"...

If your nervous about the whole process of buying a rep, I would say this site is not for you, which is fine it's not for everyone. I'd hate to see you order a watch from a TD then see yet another thread of hammering the TD because they havnt messaged you as quick as you may need. Patients is key in this game, risk and nerves of steel.
