noob factory is a term that is used to describe the origin of high quality out of the box reps. I personally don't believe this is 1 single solitary factory.

you can source these watches from most trusted dealers, ensure you tell them you only want high quality reps. My advice would be to choose ReplicaMake (Lay) at replicamake.com or Marvellous Replica (MR) at Marvellousreplica.com they're websites are not the prettiest but they will do the most hand holding with a newbie and will also make sure to send you photos (MR) or a video (Lay) before they actually send a watch to you. Most dealers will probably offer you "swiss" however your best bet is to just get the asain movement and save yourself some money.

Watch Eden has a great website but the reviews speak for themselves. I'd avoid them.

Milgauss is a fantastic rep and looks very close to Genunie.

A long long time ago, many, many cycles left behind, there was a dealer whose name shall not be repeated anymore (Neil, ;p), who coined the term "noobmariner." This was one of the first high quality reps available with 21J movements and he was selling them for real bargain price. By-Tor has a great original review of the noobmariner. The factory that made the noobmariners, and it actually is one solitary factory, got stuck with the name noob-factory.

Eventually other dealers also sourced out of this factory. Neil is no longer around selling products, I believe for health reasons (I think he was an older guy, not sure). Neil used to call it noobmariner suggesting it was a great entry level watch for newbies to the hobby, hence the name "noob"-mariner. Others originally had different names for it, e.g., Stan called it whackomariner, etc.

This is the origin of the "noobmariner" from "noobfactory." Of course, "noob" factory makes other products. They are one of the best craftsmanship among rep factories.

Keep in mind, China does not have "factories" for reps in the scale you may think. The "factories" are usually someone's house, basements, or very small wearhouses. This is not a mass scale production. The more mass scale productions are the cheap NY Chinatown products, which are a lot more prevalent than higher end reps, as most people don't know the difference.

Still confused about noob replicas, dealers, and cases

Okay this is what is in my head so far about noob replicas, PLEASE correct me if i am wrong:

Noob replicas come from a noob factory (obviously)
Noob replicas refer to any 21j replica that has the same case and strap and any other dimensions, as a replica that cost much more, or genuines
Milgauss's (the new ones) have dial and thickness dimensions of 40mm and 15mm, respectively
If they dont have these dimensions, then they are not noob factory

Also could someone list every replica movement found in a rolex rep and tell me the difference between each and roughly the cost of a rep with that movement

and why do i see some higher priced milgausses with different dimensions than theyre supposed to have?

this will help me alot.. thank you

Threads merged... Mate, there's no need to start a new thread with the same topic, if you're still asking for more answers, do so in your original thread.

No. Noob-reps is almost a brand, from one particular factory.

Milgauss's (the new ones) have dial and thickness dimensions of 40mm and 15mm, respectively

Not nec true. There are hundreds of "factories" in China. Granted our dealers probably rotate off of only a handful among them that are among the significantly better ones.

Also could someone list every replica movement found in a rolex rep and tell me the difference between each and roughly the cost of a rep with that movement

A21J = DG2813 most of the time = cheapest, Chinese made movement, but rock solid. Slow beat movement and noticable to the naked eye IF you know what you're looking at. 99% of the world won't know.

Chinese copy/Clone of Swiss ETA 2836-2 or 2824-2 movement = step up, Chinese replicates of the Swiss ETA 2836-2 or 2824-2. Shown so far to be a serious bargain and solid quality movement.

Swiss ETA = Swiss movements that are base movements for gen watches like Omega, Breitling, etc. Harder to get nowadays, and the ones that are real are most likely refurbished or dirt old movements unless you get REALLY lucky.

There is no real set price difference. It varies by models of the watch itself and dealers. Key thing ALWAYS has been to select your dealer first, then the watch. Trust me...
