Any insight?

Spoiler - I think it's Swiss with a clone balance plate/shock housing - note the subtle difference in plate finish. This is even less obvious in real life.

I've done some reading and I've come to my own conclusion (see spoiler in second post) but would be interested to see what others think.

the jewel holder, the DM without the actual date code, the shape of the engravings, shape or the jewel retention spring .....

I noticed the jewel retaining ring where the bends should be more pointed but I missed the rest.:sad:
